The most recent addition to the HTC Artemis platform is the HTC P3300 compatible with the GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 network.
Similar to a Pocket PC, but lacking a QWERTY Keyword, the P3300 features a TFT touchscreen with 65K colors, handwriting recognition, and enough buttons to move through its different functions.
In fact, the handset comes with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC operating system, in addition to common features such as a built-in 2-mega pixels camera with 1600x1200 pixels resolutions, QCIF video support, GSM radio, games, etc…
Incidentally, this modern smartphone has a dial trackball that in a certain way resembles the old-time rotating dialing discs of traditional phones; however, there is no digit-dialing feature because dialing is only available through a voice feature, including a speakerphone for hands-free operation.
The HTC P3300 includes a mini USB headset connector, support for Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi data transfer. Its card slot includes 64 MB RAM, 128 MB ROM. but also accepts card slot microSD (TransFlash) memory cards.
People who are concerned about performance can rest assured that it’s Texas Instruments OMAP850 200 MHz processor will provide a great service as a productivity tool. Like any other Pocket PC handset, the P3300 includes a launcher program, but Windows Mobile can also be initiated by pressing a front-key.
